Artist Bio
Born in Hong Kong, Tam Lee Tat graduated in 2019 from the Florence Academy of Art in Italy, where she majored in realistic painting and received two scholarships during her studies. She showcases her skills through still life oil paintings; at the same time, she studies human anatomy and applies this knowledge to her artistic creations.
Having participated in numerous exhibitions, the most recent being at the ArtNext Fair in October 2025. In addition to creating artwork, she also aims to promote the art of painting through teaching, particularly focusing on realistic styles and related techniques, to let more people appreciate and understand realistic oil painting.
From my own words
By observing nature and studying human anatomy, I draw inspiration from the environments and objects I encounter in daily life. Additionally, this knowledge allows me to freely and flexibly explore my creativity within my artistic practice. In other words, when working without direct references, the scenes in my mind are brought to life on the canvas through imagination and memory.
Painting is not merely about technique; it is an expression of ideas. Observation and reading complement each other, enriching my concepts and works. While we may not always discover entirely new ideas, we can delve deeper into existing ones.
